You never really know what sort of charcters are going to end up on your commission list. Sure, I'm able to anticipate a slew of Captain Americas to illustrate and respond accordingly although it's just as much fun to draw those comic heroes who've bever made the "A" list, even though they proudly hold their Avengers cards and save the universe alongside the "big" guys.

Currently, there's an aspect of Mantis that's joined forces with The Guardians of the Galaxy (find the most recent run in the collections and I guarantee a fantastic read) - this isn't that one. This is the classic version:

Truly. there is none better...love the butt kickin' Mantis action in the background. Very few can succeed with non-masked, non-leotarded heroes like you can. It is all subjective of course, but I feel like most artists strive to bring the mask to life. You have the seemingly rare ability to bring the people behind the masks to life.
