A few links for you to check out :

There's a whole month of "art stars" up at Comic Book Resources. All worth checking out....

...and over at Secret Identity there's been a couple of things over the past few weeks starting with a chat I had with the Matman at the Nycomiccon. Please excuse the convention croak in my throat....

...and there's also an indepth review of the first issue of THE STAND in one of the boys' latest podcasts. It's around about the 35 minute mark but the rest of the episode is well worth listening to....

Ralph Macchio has been a Marvel mainstay in the editorial department since even before Butch ( Jackson) Guice started to get work there! (We're going back to the jurrasic period here, folks!!)

He's worked on pretty much every Marvel character there is...and even wrote a few of them too; his team up with George Perez on a Black Widow story has remained one of my favourites. Now, I'm working alongside this ever youthful editorial icon and he has nice things to say about me, too... ( it's amazing what a few chocolate alligators and a photo of Gwyneth Paltrow can achieve!)

Suffering from insomnia on Tuesday 9th September? Needing a sweet, sweet comic fix late in the night?

Marvel have listed 80 comic shops across America opening for the midnight launch of Stephen King's The Stand.

I'll be at the Times Square Midtown comics - with Dark Tower writer Peter David - and look forward to meeting all you sleepy people.

There's also a couple of comprehensive Stand sites should you need further information :

As well as the DeathRay magazine in the previous post, I believe there's some Stand coverage in this month's issue of SFX, too. Haven't seen it myself - but if that's the case the interview was conducted by multi-talented 2000ad, Class War, Star Wars and Indiana Jones writer - Rob Williams.

Since it's launch, Deathray magazine has been chock full of interest and remains an extraordinary read every month. There's a certain amount of respect for it's readership there and the articles are often well thought out and presented in an intelligent way.

There's a short article in this month's issue #15 about The Stand and me! Squeezed into the magazine at the last minute - of which I'm particularly happy as I LOVE this mag!
