I was asked to develop the layouts for 20 interconnecting Spider-Man variant covers showing key moments from his history over the last 50 years of web-slinging. Here are the rough layouts:

...and then I was asked to illustrate three of the bottom tier (which happens to be the earliest appearances) :
...which were then stunningly coloured by Mr. Frank D'Armata....
...after which I was commissioned to ink the Sean Chen piece...
