In my opinion Wolverine is the most over-used character in comics, and thus has lost most of his appeal. He was, admittedly, one of my faves during my Uncanny reading days, and BWS wrote and illustrated the Origins tale to end all origins tales. But, back in the day, I coveted a well-scribed and illustrated team-up of Wolverine and Ronin. Ronin was of course a DC mini, but wold have been great to see how Frank Miller tied those two characters together.

Approaching tha character from an artisitic point of view though; there's so much to enjoy about drawing him. He's incredibly distinctive, both in and out of costume, and can go from loving gaijan to berserker fury animal in one scene. There's a variety there that makes Wolverine incredibly appealing.

Being artistically inept I can't speak to the draw to drawing Wolvie, but it would take a creative writer to reveal something new and fun for the Canuck. Don't get me wrong, when written and drawn well, Wolverine is still the best at what he does. I guess I just feel that Marvel has suffered from gluttony when it comes to Wolverine. There are so many other heroes to bring to life, let's run with new blood for a while. Though, if you get on a title with Wolvie involved, I'm in.
